Firearm Use Restrictions

Within the 1 km No Camping/No Open Fires zone, there is to be no firearm discharge, except for lawfully authorized hunting purposes.

Printed maps can be picked up at information kiosks in the McLean Creek Off Highway Vechile PLUZ and at Environment and Parks offices. An online map outlining the restricted zone is also available.

    • Campsites and fires must be one kilometre (0.6miles) from a Provincial Recreation Area or roadway

Off-highway vehicles (OHV) permitted on existing trails unless otherwise indicated.
  • Only vehicles under 453.6 kilograms (1000 pounds) with three or more low pressure tires are allowed between December 1 and April 30.

Established in October, 1979 to provide an area for off-highway vehicle (OHV) use.

PLUZ is 202 square kilometres (78 square miles).
