Long Lake Centre is an environmental education facility managed by Alberta Environment and Parks that is available to rent by organizations that provide youth/family
education programming focused on environmental and natural resource stewardship.
Located 150 kilometres north of Edmonton and 30 kilometres southwest of Athabasca Town, Long Lake Centre is nestled in the
beautiful boreal forest along a quiet, pristine lake.

Take a paddle and listen to the loons; observe native trees, plants, birds and other species by taking a scenic hike; or
relax on the lakeshore and soak in nature’s sounds.
Facility Rentals – November 1st through April 30th
Closed annually for maintenance December 1st through January 31st.
Long Lake Centre is available to rent through Alberta Environment and Parks from November 1 to April 30 annually, excluding annual maintenance times (as noted above).

Facilities at Long Lake Centre include:
- A total of 14 rustic, canvas-top cabins with wood burning stove
- Four-bed staff house with full bathroom and kitchen
- Heated outhouses
- Men's and Women's wash houses with individual shower stalls
- Modern, commercial kitchen and dining area for 95 people
Long Lake Centre is divided into two areas, North and South.

The south area can be added to a main-site rental.
