Pesticide Applicator and Dispenser Tutorials

In-class tutorials are optional and are intended for people who are pursuing their Pesticide Applicator, Dispenser or Authorized Assistant Certificates. This in-class training reinforces the understanding of the Pesticide Applicator or Dispenser Certificate Home Study courses and provides preparation for the applicator or dispenser exam. The tutorial consists of a series of workshops and hands-on labs. An instructional team from colleges, government and/or private industry normally teach the tutorials. Tutorials are scheduled throughout the province and are hosted by a number of colleges and training providers.

For a list of colleges offering tutorials, see:

The appropriate Pesticide Applicator or Commercial Dispenser Certificate Home Study courses are available from Lakeland College and must be obtained and reviewed prior to enrolling in any tutorial. These tutorials will only cover information from the most recent version of the home study course.

The Lawn and Garden Pesticide Dispenser Certificate Home Study Course is available from Olds College and must be obtained prior to enrolling in a Lawn and Garden Pesticide Dispenser tutorial.

Important Note:

The pesticide applicator and dispenser exams are not normally offered at the end of a tutorial. Exams must be arranged and written on an individual basis at a later date.
