The Specified Gas Emitters Regulation first came into effect in 2007. It requires facilities that emit 100,000 tonnes or more of greenhouse gases a year to reduce
their emissions intensity. The Specified Gas Emitters Regulation is available through the Alberta Queen’s Printer online catalogue.
