Castle Management Plan Public Information Session – Blairmore

Session will examine wider conservation and land-use issues in the southern Eastern Slopes, Castle parks and surrounding areas. Discussions will include linear disturbances, off-highway vehicle use and trail planning.

This is a ‘come-and-go’ session, with information provided in poster board format. Staff from Environment and Parks will be available at the meeting to answer questions and gather comments.

Join the Alberta BearSmart Committee and guest speakers at the 2017 Wildlife Smart Workshop, "Creating safe spaces for wildlife and people".

The workshop is free and aims to share, discuss and identify forward-actions to cooperatively reduce human-wildlife conflicts across Alberta. Some of the highlights of the workshop include:

  • updates on the current status of the Alberta BearSmart program;
  • information on how the Government of Alberta can help facilitate meaningful BearSmart initiatives and groups throughout the province;
  • opportunity to connect with or join a Regional Wildlife Smart Group; and
  • details about Wildlife Smart programs from agriculture, industry, municipalities and government from across the province.
